A comprehensive exploration of digital photography with immersive theory and hands-on practice.

    About Our 3-Week Program

Immerse yourself in photography theory and practice with our intensive summer camp.

3-Week Photography Summer Camp is a comprehensive exploration of digital photography for any person with a passion for photography. Throughout the three-week camp, participants will be completely immersed in the theory of photography and have ample opportunities to practice their skills.

Photography campers develop the skills necessary to research, compose, and capture digital photographic projects in a hands-on course. Students are encouraged to be creative, but are also taught to think of each project as a concise statement of artistic, documentary, and/or journalistic intent.

They expand their repertoire of techniques with light and shadow as they work with professional lighting and grip hardware, as well as inexpensive and unconventional practical sources of light and shadow.

No significant prior experience in photography is assumed. The camp brings everyone to the same level very quickly, beginning with the fundamentals and filling the inevitable gaps in the understanding of those who have some experience.

All 3-Week Photography students are required to bring with them to the camp a digital camera with manual exposure control.
